2003 Sec A Welsh Bay Roan Gelding
Morwel Double Dare

* Granby Tom Thumb x Morwel Mariah

Morwel Double Dare..aka Herci, is a wonderful Sec A gelding. He is by the imported stallion, Granby Tom Thumb out of Morwel Mariah (Severn West Wind x Severn Fancy Free). Craig and I purchased him last fall as a prospect for our daughters.. At the time of purchase, he was sold with 30 days driving training, however he had a tramatic accident in the cart that put a terrible fear into him.

After consulting with our trainer, we decided to start him under saddle to see if we could help him to over-come his fears. Our incredible trainer, Danielle Gadd, started him in June. Herci was such a willing student that he progressed enough to warrant taking him to the Ohio Welsh Show in Canfield, Ohio, August 10th, 11th, and 12th. To our delight, he placed 4th in adult trail in a strong class against seasoned ponies. How many ponies can navigate all the elements of a trail class with only 60 days under saddle? Herci has a great future and will be a strong competitor in numerous disciplines as time progresses.

Update: Since our daughters want to show Pantheon Vivienne and Rosmel's Sunny Delight, we decided to sell Herci to our trainer, Danielle. She sees great potential in this small, but mighty pony and will continue on with his show career; preparing him for her young son and daughter. We are all very excited to see him packing young children in the near future to all-around awards. Danielle plans to compete in various events such as English Pleasure, hunter over fences, ridden welsh, trail and driving. If you are interested in Morwel Double Dare, please contact us and we'll put you in contact with Danielle.

If you need a small adult trainer for your small, medium or large ponies, give Danielle a call. You won't be disappointed with her methods.
